How does a three bedroom house for 150 bucks sound? That's the grand prize for the 2013 house raffle put on by the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center.
This year's home is two stories with three bedrooms and is valued at $350,000. If you don't want the house you can choose the alternative cash prize of $105,000.
Proceeds from the contest go to the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center and the Women's Care Center. "We normally sell out 3,950 tickets in about 10 days, but those first few days are crazy," says Ann Rathburn of SJRMC.
Tickets cost $150 each. You can buy raffle entries in the lobby of Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, located at 5215 Holy Cross Parkway in Mishawaka.
They won't just be giving away a house. 42 prizes are available in all, including a 2013 Honda Civic LX or a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta S, provided by Gurley-Leep Automotive Group, and 40 cash prizes that range from $175 to $5,000.
The final drawing will be May 3 at 5:00pm, but organizers say the tickets always sell out long before then.
The house is located at 18175 Baldwin Drive in Bradford Shores at Knollwood.
