Some kids in Elkhart are learning about running a business with just a backpack and some lemonade.
Its called Backpack Attack!
The program that allows kindergartners to 12th graders the chance to build, own and operate their own lemonade stand.
Each backpack has a manual on how to build the stand, make lemonade, make a business model and market to customers.
They have until May 4th to get everything done.
"Its really important because kids need to have that responsibility," said Event Organizer Meggan Patty. "They need to be able to do things on their own. Have a little independence. But also have a mentor with them to get this experience rolling."
"It just fun donating to all these people," said Harrison Harte. "And having fun making money and helping others."
Harrison was the winner last year.
He won tickets to the Elkhart Jazz Festival.
Kids can still sign up through school and community organizations.
