How to help build homes and fill food pantries at the same time

Here's an interesting twist on a traditional canned-food drive.  The Habitat ReStores in South Bend and Mishawaka are offering a pretty cool incentive. For every can of soup you bring in they'll give you 5% off your purchase.  And they'll honor up to eight cans, so you can get a total of 40% off.

It's a win-win for everyone.  The store makes more money to help build new homes, food pantries will get more goods and you'll get a discount.  "That's one way not only to bring people into the store, not only to help support Habitat so we can build more homes, but it's also letting the people who live in this area know we care bout them too," said Vivian Bolen with Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

The drive will help provide food for several smaller food-pantries in the area.  You can donate through Saturday.
