If you see a large number of police and other emergency personnel at Monterey Elementary School on Saturday, don't worry.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Department is teaming up with the Pulaski County Rescue Association and the school for a training exercise. Starke County Sheriff's Office personnel will also take part in the exercise.
The training is designed to prepare authorities for the possibility of an active shooter attacking a school.
"This exercise will test all of our County's Response partner's ability to respond and coordinate efforts" said Chief Deputy Ron Patrick of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office.
Personnel from the Indiana State Excise Police, State Police and DNR Conservation Officers will also be taking part.
