The west side of South Bend may be getting a makeover.
That is if local businesses have their way.
Community leaders met Monday morning to discuss the Lincolnway corridor and what can be done to improve it.
They say its an important part of town and often the first thing that visitors from the airport see.
"See what we can do with the city, partner with them, and what we can do on our end, what they can do on their end to assist us and hopefully the outcome in the end would be a plan to redevelopment of Lincolnway west," says Jerry Niezgodski of the Lasalle square steering committee.
Over 100 businesses operate on the Lincolnway west corridor.
