Investigators are trying to determine what sparked a fire in Elkhart Monday afternoon.
The fire broke out at a home in the 57-thousand block of County Road 9 around four-thirty. Crews were able to contain the fire to the living room.
"A passerby called in, said they had seen flames and smoke and they drove back and didn't see any flames or smoke, but dispatch had us come and take a look and that's when we found there was a smile fire in there," says Jerry Adkins with Concord Fire Department.
We're told nobody was home when the fire started.
