Benton Harbor police are hunting for an armed robbery suspect after he fled from a cab Tuesday morning.
The cab driver told authorities he had been called out to pick up a fare, but when the man got into the cab he pulled a gun and demanded money. A struggle broke out, and a shot was fired. The robber fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The driver also ran on foot. No injuries were reported.
The driver described the robber as a black man, about 5'10" tall and between 180-190lbs. He was last seen wearing all black clothing and armed with a handgun.
A K-9 unit tried to track the suspect, but lost the scent a few blocks from the robbery.
