Black History Month reception in Elkhart

The Tolson Center in Elkhart held a reception Thursday to celebrate black history month.

The reception celebrated the students that entered the Martin Luther King "I Have a Dream" writing contest.

1,300 students submitted speeches..and the winners were given certificates.

In addition to the speech winners, Reverend Franklin Breckenridge gave an inspiring speech.

Participants also learned about the NAACP.
