Two people were taken to the hospital and three dogs died after
a fire in South Bend
Friday morning.
The fire happened in a home at the corner of Carroll Street and Dubail Street on
the city's south side.
Fire officials say three adults were on the porch when
firefighters arrived. Two of those people were taken to the hospital for
observation. Fire officials say the dogs died due to smoke inhalation.
There is no word yet on a cause of
the fire. Dubail Street
was expected to remain closed while crews investigate the fire.
