Drive sober or get pulled over.
That was the message from police in Saint Joseph County as they announced their plan to crack down on drunk drivers.
Beginning March 8, law enforcement will be more visible on the roads specifically focusing around sporting events and the Saint Patrick's Day holiday.
The increased effort will include sobriety check points and will last 16 days.
"We want them to be able to go out and enjoy those festivities, and by doing that we are gonna let them know that we will be out there so we're gonna use the high visibility of enforcement techniques like sobriety checkpoints saturation and patrols," says Lt. Tim Williams.
Over 250 Indiana law enforcement agencies will participate in the initiative.
