Penn Acad. Super Bowl team near sweeps Warsaw

Capturing five of the six subject titles, the Penn High School Academic Super Bowl squads overwhelmed the rest of the 14 team field at the Warsaw Invitational on Monday night.

The topic for Academic Super Bowl across Indiana this season is "The Glory that was Greece".

Here are the top three teams for each of the subject areas:

SOCIAL STUDIES 

1.)  Penn      

2.)  Northwood  

3.)  Whitko   

 

FINE ARTS                           

1.)  Northwood

2.)  Penn 

3.)  Mishawaka

 

MATH

1.)  Penn

2.)  Warsaw

3.)  Columbia City

 

ENGLISH

1.)  Penn

2.)  Columbia City

3.)  Concord

 

SCIENCE

1.)  Penn

2.)  Northwood

3.)  Concord

 

INTERDISCIPLINARY

1.)  Penn

2.)  Northwood

3.)  Concord

 

The final overall standings using a composite of all the scores of all of the 14

schools in each of the six subject areas had Penn finishing first, Northwood second followed by Wawasee in third.

Other schools competing but not listed above included Bremen, Goshen, Northridge, Peru, South Bend Clay and Wabash.

Next up for Penn is the Ft. Wayne Dwenger Invitational on March 13.
