Notre Dame freshman Cam Biedschide will miss Saturday's game at Louisville after his involvement in the fist fight at the end of the St John's game.
Biedschide and Sir' Dominic Pointer exchanged punches late in the 66-40 Irish win and both were ejected. Pointer was also suspended for one game.
Biedschide won't be allowed to sit on the bench during the Louisville game either. He will make the trip and he will be available for the Big East tournament next week.
Coach Mike Brey tried to appeal the suspension and stood by Biedschide, saying he is disappointed in the league's decision because he was just defending himself.
Pointer and St John's head coach Steve Lavin apologized after the game.
