Indiana State Police looking for witness to crash in South Bend

The Indiana State Police are looking for a witness to a crash that involved one of their own troopers.

The accident happened a little before 8:00 P.M. at Ireland Road and Linden Road.

Police say Trooper William B. Ennis was driving west on Ireland, and 19-year-old Robert Lee Perez of Mishawaka was heading south on Linden.

Ennis, Perez and Perez's passenger 20-year-old Danielle Cutler of South Bend were taken to a local hospital.

Ennis was treated and released, while Perez is in critical condition and his passenger is in serious condition.

There is no cause yet for the accident, but police are looking for a possible witness. He drives a yellow, older model pick up truck with plastic over the rear window. Police say he stopped after the crash and then kept driving.

Police are asking him and any other witnesses to contact the Indiana State Police
