Are you getting ready to hit to the road for Spring Break? Then make sure to check your child's safety seat.
Some parents did just that in Elkhart County.
The group Safe Kids Elkhart County was performing the checks for free at a Concord Township fire station. The installations can be complicated.
"Its important to get your seat checked all the time. Anytime you travel but especially when you're going on major highways, you're going to be traveling at high rates of speed, there's going to be lots of luggage in the vehicle we want to make sure kids are restrained properly," said Wendy Nash, coordinator of child passenger safety.
