Who doesn't love a sweet treat? Some baked goods at the University Park Mall tasted even sweeter Saturday since they're helping kids with cancer.
A group of Penn High School Students baked about 800 goodies and sold them today at the mall.
All the funds go to Cookies for kids cancer, a national organization that finds new and less harmful ways to treat pediatric cancer. "You want to know that you're helping and when you know people are generous and giving with donations makes me really happy to know people are trying to make a difference to know we can all do it together," said Haley Meekhof a Co-Founder of the local bake sale.
The group was selling everything from chocolate chip cookies to pumpkin muffins. Their goal was to raise more than $1,000. And if you've got a sweet tooth they will be at the University Park mall until 7 p.m. Saturday.
