South Bend police say a drunk driver hit two cars and a group of pedestrians in the 1600 block of West Western Avenue early Sunday morning.
Police say 44 year old Christopher Swanson was speeding when he crashed into a car carrying three people.
They suffered minor injuries.
Swanson continued driving and hit another car.
The two people inside had to be extricated from the vehicle.
Police say Swanson still didn't stop and hit three pedestrians in front of the AmVets Lounge, pinning one of them underneath.
Swanson took off and police caught him in the 400 block of S Pulaski Street.
He was arrested on four charges including Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Resulting in Serious injury.
Police say one victim is in critical condition. The rest, including Swanson, were treated and released from the hospital.
