The IHSAA is shaking up the class system in Indiana.
The one with possibly the biggest impact on South Bend, is Plymouth. The Pilgrims are moving up to 4A.
This could effect the South Bend Sectional location. Plymouth typically hosts the sectional and semi-state. School officials say they have not been told how it may change their involvement as a host site. Plymouth moves up in boys and girls hoops, baseball and volleyball.
Mishawaka and Concord move up to 5A, South Bend St Joe moves up to 4A and Rochester and Fairfield make the move to 3A.
Penn stays put in 6A. Penn is the 5th biggest school by population in the state. Ben Davis is 1 and Carmel is 2.
