Its National Pi Day, not apple or blueberry, we're talking about the number pi.
Students at Kennedy Primary Academy in South Bend spent the day learning all about pi.
The day included measuring circles, learning about circumference and making pi posters.
Teachers say its very important for students to learn pi at a young age.
"I had some of my 4th grade students who are in 5th grade advanced math and myself have been working on posters and coming up with little tid bits and facts about pi, and you know call us a bunch of nerds but its a lot of fun," says Jeremy Maller a teacher at Kennedy.
Several other South Bend schools also participated in National Pi Day.
