The Plymouth mayor is taking another approach to tackling the meth problem. He's going after cold medicines.
Mayor Mark Senter traveled to Indianapolis this week with other Indiana mayors to urge lawmakers to enforce tougher control on cold medications, which is often used to make meth. He says lawmakers are considering putting a limit of 61 grams per year on cold medications and he sees this as a step in the right direction.
"It's very dangerous, it's very combustible. What we need to do is eliminate the homemade labs." And he says tightening cold medication rules will make it harder for people to make meth on their own.
