Residents of the Princess Apartments in Mishawaka have been told to pack up their things.
This is in response to an order by the Mishawaka Department of Code Enforcement along with the St. Joseph County Health Department.
Because the city and the health department were forced to terminate utilities, the residents had to leave.
The complex is at 635 East 12th Street.
Red Cross Emergency Services Coordinator Doug Farmwald says about 20 residents have requested assistance.
Farmwald says 15 units were occupied.
Colbrush United Methodist Church in Mishawaka will be providing shelter for the residents for up to three nights. Quality Dining, Inc. will be providing meals.
We will have updates when they become available.
