Pasquale Rulli will serve a year and a half in the community corrections in Allen County and then he'll be on probation for another year and a half.
His licence will also be suspended for a little over three years and he'll have to attend a victim impact panel.
The hit and run happened last summer in Middlebury.
Police say Rulli was driving a 2008 Cadillac S-T-S when he hit 17-year-old Zion Carstrom. Castrom was riding her bike on County Road 35 just north of US 20. She was taken to a hospital and later released.
