Moms in Michiana were making sure our service men and women are taken care of on Sunday.
The St. Joe Valley Blue Star Mothers packed boxes filled with things like clothes and toiletries for the group's Heroes in Need at Walter Reed event.
The women will deliver the items to wounded and ill military members.
They're also bringing them goodie bags.
Sandra Boldt of the Blue Star Mothers says, "I get so much more out of it than I give knowing that I'm able to help people even even if it just gives them a moment of happiness to know that someone's thinking about them."
This is the second year the Blue star mothers have participated in this event.
