Teens across Elkhart County gathered at the Holiday Skate Center Wednesday for a Kick Butts Day event.
Kick Butts is a national initiative geared toward speaking out against tobacco companies.
Their message is directed at young adults.
It's pretty simple, don't give in to smoking.
The goal of the event Wednesday was to stress the dangers of tobacco use.
Isabelle Billings who participated in the event says "Well we're trying to spread awareness about the tobacco industry and how they're, how do you say, kinda, sorta tricking the youth into smoking."
"Through the media, when you see it, take it serious. because it's all about the health aspect," says event organizer Tara Morris.
As an alternative to smoking, the teens enjoyed an afternoon of roller skating and making T-shirts.
