Officials from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department say an early morning business fire started because of a burning van.
It broke out Thursday around 5:45 at the Sunrise Deli on North Michigan Street in North Webster, just west of Webster Lake. Emergency crews arrive to find the van fully engulfed in fire and the flames beginning to spread to the building.
Sheriff's Department officials tell FOX28 the car took a lot of damage but the restaurant made it out of the fire with only melted shingles. The fire was put out by 7 o'clock.
Dispatchers don't believe anyone was hurt. The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department expects to release more information on the ongoing investigation soon.
The van is a total loss. The store front suffered damage to the eaves, siding, and front window that was shattered due to the heat. The fire remains under investigation
