Helping out the Potawatomi Zoo one bird at a time.
That's one of the goals of the Michiana Elite Bird Fair which takes place this Saturday.
The fair will feature lots of different exotic birds and experts who will speak on various topics such as Australian birds and how to tell if your bird is sick.
The fair will also help birds that are endangered.
"We give 100 percent of the proceeds back to the Potawatomi Zoo and the endangered bird species, so all the money that we bring in for the bird fair goes back to those two organizations," says Allan Annis the organizer of the fair.
The fair is scheduled to take place from 10am to 5pm -- admission is four dollars.
