Basketball fans who went to Between the Buns Bar & Grill in Granger to catch the madness of March's games Friday were surprised to find the doors closed.
Tania Arthur, Director of Operations for Between the Buns, says there were several factors that went into the decision to close. She cites economic concerns, sewer construction in the area and the smoking ban as reasons the company decided to cease operations at the SR 23 location.
Arthur says the location employed between 25 and 30 people. She believes all of those employees will be able to find positions at the company's other locations.
Arthur says they were hoping to stay open during the basketball tournament, but the economic conditions simply prevented them from continuing to operate.
