Main Street in Goshen closed while police responded to dispute

Main Street in Goshen was closed Saturday evening while police responded to a domestic dispute.

Police say a man barricaded himself in his home on Main Street, near State Road 15 after his partner told police she'd been abused.

After about an hour of crisis negotiators communicating with the man, he surrendered to police.

Taylor Rodden lives next door to where this all happened.

He and his friends watched the scene he described as scary, from his window.

"At one point the cops they came knock on the door to tell us to get out the window cause he didn't want the bullets flying through the house if there was a shoot out," says Rodden.

Police say Main Street was only closed for a short period of time.
