4 arrested on meth charges in LaGrange

Four LaGrange residents are in custody facing drug-related charges after a bust by police over the weekend.

Police say they found meth making materials, paraphernalia, and a substance that may be methamphetamine in a home on the 3600 block of S 600 East.  The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab is processing the scene for dangerous chemicals.

Police took 48-year-old Candice Benson, 25-year-old Kerri Benson, 27-year-old Stephanie Gibson, and 32-year-old Laef Lewis into custody. 

Candice Benson is facing an initial charge of Maintaining a Common Nuisance.  Kerri Benson is facing charges of Possession of Meth and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.  Gibson and Lewis are facing a Visiting a Common Nuisance charge each. 

Additional charges are possible following review of the case by the LaGrange County Prosecutors Office.
