Silver Hawks give preview of improvements at the Cove

Posted:

It's spring, and that means baseball is on the way.  The South Bend Silver Hawks gave us a sneak peek Tuesday of all the improvements at the Cove.

You would never know opening day is just two days away with all the final touches still going on.  They've added better sound elements and a new TV board.

The team is still keeping the fun contests and deals from last season, too.  Thirsty Thursday and the flat screen TV giveaway aren't going anywhere.

There's definitely one noticeable addition: the tiki hut.  "I think the biggest thing they're going to see is the tiki hut," said Silver Hawks President Joe Hart. "It's going to be a great area for people to hangout and watch the game."

If you're around the hut you can keep up with the game with a new scoreboard across from it.  Opening Day is Thursday.
