Teen thrown from pickup in Starke County accident


A teen who was thrown from the pack of a pick-up truck is out of the hospital.  The Starke County Sheriff's Department says 18-year-old Amber Johnston-Letts was found lying injured in the middle of the roadway.

The teen was taken to an area hospital, then airlifted to a South Bend hospital where she was treated and released.

The driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old Dale Quaife II is facing a Reckless Driving charge related to the accident.
