New urgent care facility opens in Mishawaka

On Monday, April 8th Physicians Urgent Care opened it's doors in Mishawaka.  This facility is designed for people that need immediate attention for illness or injury, but don't necessarily need to go to the emergency room.  This could mean anything from a broken bone to stitches.

The President of Physicians Urgent Care, Stan Blaylock, says urgent care provides faster, better, and more affordable care.  "We can treat patients, typically within under a hour," Blaylock says, "it is much more cost effective for them as well as the health insurance companies, and they like the setting."

The company also announced two additional clinics in our area.  One will open in South Bend in the summer and one will open in Elkhart in the fall.  Another urgent care facility opened in Granger back in late January.

The clinic is located at 505 West Cleveland Road in Mishawaka, on the north side of University Park Mall. It will be open from 8 am to 8 pm, Monday-Friday and 10 am to 4 pm on the weekends. More information can be found on Physicians Urgent Care website here.
