LaGrange County Sheriff to increase patrols at schools

LaGrange County Sheriff Terry Martin says his department will increase their presence at schools in the county after a threat against schools in Elkhart and St. Joseph Counties.

According to a letter sent home to parents in Mishawaka, graffiti with the threat was found in January on the wall of a restroom stall at the Elkhart Bureau of Motor Vehicles office. The graffiti made reference to doing harm to "20 kids in 5 different schools on 4/15/2013 in St. Joseph Elkhart County."

The LaGrange County Sheriff's Department says there are no direct threats to any schools in their county and the increased patrols are just a precautionary measure.
