South Bend shooting suspect found guilty

A South Bend man who was charged with the October 2009 shooting death of his girlfriend has been found guilty.

25-year-old Brice Webb was found guilty of the murder of his girlfriend, 21-year-old Cherlyn Reyes. Webb was also found guilty of being a habitual offender

Police say Webb shot Reyes in the head the morning of Friday, October 9 in their home on Lincoln Way East.

This was a re-trial of a case previously tried in which Webb was convicted of the murder. The conviction was overturned in March of last year by the Indiana Supreme Court and sent back to St. Joseph County Court.

Webb will be sentenced next month.
