Penn sends 5 teams to Academic Super Bowl State Finals

The maximum number of teams that a high school can send to the Academic Super Bowl State Finals is six.  On Tuesday night at the Mishawaka High School Regional meet, Penn High School's Kingsmen qualified a total number of five teams for the state finals at Purdue University-West Lafayette on Saturday, May 4.

The Kingsmen academic competitors qualified the school's Social Studies, Science, Math, English and Interdisciplinary squads.

Other area schools which will be sending teams to the state meet include Northwood in Social Studies, Math, Science, Fine Arts & Interdisciplinary, Wawasee in Social Studies, Fine Arts and Interdisciplinary, LaVille in Fine Arts and Lakeland in Math.

The Penn High School Academic Super Bowl-Social Studies team posted the state's highest regional score, tallying 23 out of a possible 25 correct answers.
