More Hoosiers donating blood following Boston bombings

The tragic events this week across the country have caused more people to donate blood.

South Bend Medical Foundation's mobile blood unit was in Granger this morning.

Organizers say they have seen the number of donors increase.

They say its says a lot about the people of Michiana.

"It says that no matter how awful things may seem, humanity really is good at the core, and that we all really are out to help each other," says Christina Tembo of the South Bend Medical Foundation.

If you'd like to donate blood, please contact the South Bend Medical Foundation.
