Driver sentenced in deadly drunk driving crash


An Alabama man has been sentenced to up to 50 years in jail for his role in a deadly car crash.

It happened last November.

Police say 32-year-old David Glen Johnson was driving drunk when his pickup hit a car head on in Geneva Township.

Twenty-four-year-old Brittney King of Bangor, four-year-old old Cassadi Berryhill and two-year-old Kandice Berryhill all died in the accident.

Johnson received 19 years 6months to 50 years with credit for 154 days served on Second-degree homicide.  On Count two, OWI Causing Death, he received 86 months to 15years with credit for 154 days served. 

These sentences will be served concurrently. 

Johnson was also ordered to pay a total of $18,433.13 in restitution along with $198.00 in fines and costs.
