Bremen AR manufacturer makes first delivery

Posted:

We're following up on a story that we told you about last week.

A new Bremen Company, BCI Defense is manufacturing AR 15 lower receivers. Monday they made their first delivery and 500 receivers arrived at Midwest Gun Exchange.

"For us it's one more vendor, it's somebody that we have a friendship with, a relationship with, a partnership with in purchasing and not only do we sell these in our local market but we also sell them to other dealers throughout the United States," says Midwest Gun Exchange owner, Brad Foster.

Foster says this first bulk is sold and they are already waiting for the second shipment.

It's a new endeavor for B-C-I Defense and while the CEO says starting a new product has it's challenges, making this first delivery proves it's all worth it.

"When you can start a new company, hire new employees, bring a new product to be distributed, it's pretty satisfying. And when you care about the product, it makes it a lot easier," says James Brown, BCI Defense CEO.

He says they are bringing more jobs to Bremen, especially with their plans to expand. They hope to eventually start making upper receivers and complete riffles.
