Notre Dame students give a special car to a young boy

A two-year-old with Cerebral Palsy has a new set of wheels Tuesday.

Austin Rousselon's limited muscle control keeps him from using a regular Little Tykes hummer.

Some Notre Dame Engineering students solved that problem!

They modified the toy to operate with a button and a joystick instead of a wheel and pedal.

And that did the trick.

Austin was off and running as soon as the students dropped off the modified hummer tonight!

Mom couldn't be happier!

Austin's mom Jamie Rousselon said, "Oh it's awesome. Words can't describe it," said Austin's mom Jamie Rousselon. "We didn't think he could do anything like this, and it's just phenomenal what he can do. He really sets the bar high for disabled kids."

"Basically it allows him to be a kid, allows him to have some fun," said Notre Dame student Derek Wolf. "They'll use it a little bit for therapy, but mostly you see his face, he just gets to have fun with it."

With the help of the new toy and pediatric Therapists at Memorial...

Austin's mom says there are no limits to what her son can achieve.
