Elkhart Young Entrepreneurs head to New York

Posted:

Three high school students from the Elkhart area are heading to New York this week to compete for scholarships and national recognition.

The young entrepreneurs are taking their business enterprise to Rochester to present at an Innovation Festival.

E and M Removal offers local businesses and residents a convenient way to recycle old electronics and appliances.

They received backing from local investors to support their business plan.

One of the students, Andrew Tefft says, "Lots of stakes- the amount of money we can win, the amount of competition that's gonna- there's gonna be a lot of great businesses there, and it's a little nervewracking, but it's ok."

The students plan to continute their business after the competition, no matter what the outcome is.
