College stars ready for Thursday's NFL Draft

Posted:

Thursday marks the beginning of the NFL Draft and some local college stars are hoping they'll get a shot at glory when it kicks off at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Two Notre Dame stars are hoping they will be taken in the first round, which will be held on Thursday at 8 p.m. Linebacker Manti Te'o was slated to be a first round pick all season but some argue that the girlfriend hoax scandal will hurt his draft stock. Meanwhile tight end Tyler Eifert is expected by some to go as high as the top 10.

Penn High School's Braxston Cave also expects to be taken sometime this weekend.

Rounds two and three will be held on Friday beginning at 6:30, while rounds three through seven will be held on Saturday.

FOX 28's Dean Huppert, Allison Hayes and Adam Shear will be working around the clock to give you the best local NFL Draft coverage. You can tune in to FOX 28 News at 10 and keep it with FOX28.com for the very latest.

Below we have links for you to check out which players from every Division I FBS school in either Indiana or Michigan are NFL Draft Eligible, according to ESPN.com.
