One Lap of America race preparations in South Bend

Posted:

Some race car drivers are about to start the One Lap for America race circuit.

Drivers race on a number of tracks over seven days.

They lack of sleep and live on gas station food as they travel from South Bend to Florida and then finish at the Tire Rack in South Bend.

Cars were weighed and inspected to prepare for the event which starts tomorrow.

Michigan company PREFIX Corporation is competing with a Viper.

Its all to show support for American manufacturing and to put people back to work.

"Forge Ahead USA is all about promoting American manufacturers and generating dollars back into our economy and putting people back to work," said President of J Robert Consulting Jhan Dolphin. "And bringing attention to what that's all about. Most people don't realize a few small purchases by American families of American made products."

"Team Forge Ahead USA message of what we got is particularly special to me," said Forge Ahead USA Driver Tom Drewer. "Because I came here to live the American dream and its really about promoting that message America is known for which is American manufacturing."
