Argos high school student still in coma after car crash

Courtney DeMont, the Argos High School student is still fighting for her life and her dad says the community has been behind her the whole time.

Courtney was injured in a car accident on April 18th. She's still in a light coma, but is responding at times.

Her dad Dan says they began bedside therapy last Thursday and she is officially off the ventilator. He says it's been hard for the whole family, but the community support is pulling them through.

"It's kind of like family with a small town. Everybody's made it as easy for us as they can with everything going on but the response is overwhelming," says Dan DeMont.

He says a big thank you to those fundraising for the family, whether it's a car wash or a concert, he says the funds are appreciated.
