14 year old driver dedicates car to cancer survivors

Posted:

Most kids get excited about getting their learners permit at 15 or 16.  Not this next young man.  Not only is Bradley Blackburn, Junior a quick learner behind the wheel.  But he's getting an education about the importance of giving back to those in need.

14 year old Bradley Blackburn, Junior is the defending champion and rookie of the year at Mottville speedway.  But this year when he hits the track, it's about more than just winning races.
"It means the size of the world to me," Blackburn says.
Blackburn has dedicated his car to his cousin and two friends who are battling cancer.  Sam Grewe and Will Mishler have grown up playing sports with Blackburn in Middlebury...their fight has inspired him.
For a minimum donation of $5, you can sign your name or write a message on one of the ribbons on Blackburn's car.  The money will be donated to cancer research.
Mishler says what his friend is doing is cool.  "It kinda shows that someone really cares," Mishler said.
To donate and put your message on his car, go to Bradley Blackburn, Junior on facebook...and help these kids make a difference for other kids.
