John touched countless lives in our community as a public servant with both the City and the School Board, as a founder of the Summit Club, and in his numerous civic and charitable activities. He was a joy to be aroundquick with a joke, always companionable, and unswervingly loyal to his friends and to the community. We will miss his warmth and big heart, and our thoughts and prayers are with Joan and John's family."
