Many area salons honoring gift cards after salon suddenly closes

Posted:

After a Granger salons sudden closure over the weekend, many customers were left holding gift cards they couldn't redeem, including moms who had gotten them as Mother's Day gifts.

Though JaRoss Salon and Resort Spa is closed and won't be refunding gift card purchases, several salons in the area will be taking them.

Pure Emerald in Granger, Salon Fusion in South Bend, and Salon Rouge in South Bend and Mishawaka are honoring JaRoss gift cards at their full value.

"We decided that it's most important to take care of the client first no matter whose client that may be. We're willing to do whatever we can to make that client's transition as easy as possible," says Sarah McCormick with Salon Fusion.

Salon Nouveau in Granger will be offering 50% off one service at their salon if customers present a JaRoss gift card.

"The Salon industry is that way.  I think anybody that can help will try.  I think there are a lot of salons out there that are going to want to offer opportunities to salon guests looking for a place to land," says Cheri Copelin with Salon Nouveau.

Centre Yourself, The Centre P.C.'s medical rejuvenation spa, will give a 25% discount off scheduled services and waive the consultation fee of $35 for all those who lost memberships and gift certificates as a result of JaRoss shutting its doors.

If you know of any other salons offering discounts or honoring JaRoss gift cards, please share them in the comments below.
