Whole Foods is giving back to Penn Schools

Whole Foods is giving back to the Penn Harris Madison School district.  Five percent of Wednesday's total sales will be donated to the PHM Education Foundation.

The PHM Education Foundation develops alternative sources of income to support learning while strengthening the partnership between schools and community.  The President of the Foundation, Day Lockwitz, said they gave $70 thousand in grants this year, all going back to students.  "Penn Robotics is a big recipient of ours," Lockwitz said, "they have a championship team that has been around for 16 years at the High School."

Local celebrities, such as the Mayor of Mishawaka, Dave Wood and Penn Superintendent Dr. Jerry Thacker were on hand to bag groceries.
