People lining up for Elkhart County 4-H Fair Concert tickets days in advance

Posted:

Tickets for the concerts at this year's Elkhart County 4-H Fair don't go on sale until Saturday morning but two women are so determined to get front row seats, they're already camped out.

One of the women camped out, Priscilla Johnson, said, "I'm buying six tickets for Hunter Hayes, Florida Georgia Line, and CCR."  To make sure they get those tickets sisters Priscilla Johnson and Tonia Flowers will be in at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds until Saturday.  They're camping out rain or shine.

This is a family affair.  "Hunter Hayes tickets for my 15 year old daughter," said Johnson, "Florida Georgia line for my son."  So Johnson is a mom who wants to make her kids happy at the fair, "It's our vacation we have a lot of fun with it."

But it's more than that, she's also camping out for her dad.  "My mother passed away in March so and my dad likes CCR and I figured ya know it's a thing him and I can do together and I'm gonna get tickets for my sisters so we can all do it together as a group," said Johnson.

To make all these dreams come true their roughing it.  Depending on family to bring them food, "my senior son's coming out to bring us dinner," said Johnson.

They're sleeping in their chairs at the Fairgrounds.  "This chair that I have lays out so it's almost a perfect cradle position so I'll be good," said Johnson.

But while they're out at the Fairgrounds we've learned for the first time ever you can get your tickets from home.  Kristy Ambrosen, the Marketing Coordinator for the Elkhart County 4-H Fiar Marketing Coordinator said, "This year we're offering online ticket sales."

So are Priscilla and Tonia wasting their time camping out?  Ambrosen said...maybe not.  "There will be a limited number of seats available for box office only and those seats we will begin selling probably prior to 9 o'clock. "

For Priscilla and Tonia it's a no brainer.  "Knowing my kids are gonna be happy and they're gonna have fun it's worth it," said Johnson.

If you're interested in buying tickets you can do so at the box office at the fairgrounds, by calling 1-877-772-5425, or online here.
