5th graders learn about different states

Some local students were given a task, learn all they can about another state.

It's for the annual state fair project for fifth graders at Nappanee Elementary School. Each fifth grader was assigned a different state and had to create a booth as well as a report.

Students even dressed up in different costumes to represent their state.

"Utah is a really cool state because they have winter and summer activities, Park City, Utah is famous for skiing and then they also have hiking and zip lining in the summer," says Madison Miller a 5th grader.

"Rhode Island is the smallest state in the USA, it has a ranking size of fifty, the postal abbreviation is R.I.," says Mason Kiel a 5th grader.

About 75 students participated in the project.
