DNR says helmet could have saved teen's life

A helmet, may have saved a teen's life in Kosciusko County.

The Department of Natural Resources says 13-year-old Mason Johnson was riding his A-T-V on his family's property in Claypool when he attempted to jump a ramp.

The A-T-V flipped, throwing Mason from it.

He hit his head and got a concussion.

Conservation officers say if Mason wasn't wearing his helmet and goggles, hit injuries could have been a lot worse.
