Local firefighters bowl for wounded warriors

It was a battle of the badges at the bowling alley Saturday.  Clay firefighters hosted the 12th Annual Lt. Jon Kimm Memorial Battle of the Badges at Chippewa bowl in South Bend.  This year they were bowling to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.  That's an organization that helps veterans or service members who have been injured during their military service.  "The reason these guys are out there is so we can have these bowling events so we can go home everyday and sit on our front porches and do what we want, drink what we want, say what we want.  Have the freedom we have and it's cause these guys are out there fighting for us," said Brenden Goodman with Clay Fire Territory.

Six different fire departments bowled against each other for the event.  They raised 3 thousand dollars before the bowling even started but were hoping to raise 6 or 7 thousand before it was over.
